NorWest Industrial Mat, Ltd. Co. is a company located in the State of Idaho organized in the spring of 2004 to manufacture three ply, bolted, hardwood mats to supplement the production of a major Canadian mat manufacturer. The principals involved in this organization had many years of experience in the supply of raw lumber product to other mat manufacturers. Our first year’s production was approximately 15,000 mats which went onto job sites primarily in the Provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan. Within a year’s time our mats were in such demand that we went to a “direct marketing” status and are now marketing mats to the general industry. Our customers include companies involved in: Oil & Gas exploration, pipeline construction, land development, storage and site development, work camps and campsites, helicopter pads, logging, staging and equipment storage, crane platforms, and others.
Our current facility production capacity is 200 mats per day.
Our primary product is used for general access around and over unstable soils suck as muskeg, tundra and wetland environments. Because of the engineered, cross laminated design of our mats the use in areas demanding tremendous strength and stability involving work areas requiring extreme load values is our general market. The value to cost ratios on our mats makes their use and application one of the most economically feasible in the industry. Please review our “Products” and “Photo Gallery” sections of this site for further pragmatic applications.
Since our start-up in 2004, we have mobilized over 100,000 mats onto job sites and into rental fleets with both increased and repeat business. As we continue to grow we are branching out into other related areas of business.
